Welcome to the School District of Wausaukee The School District of Wausaukee is located in Northeast Wisconsin, approximately thirty (30) minutes from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Our 417 square mile District comprises eight (8) municipalities including the towns of: Amberg, Athelstane, Middle Inlet, Porterfield, Silver Cliff, Wagner, Wausaukee and the Village of Wausaukee.  The District has an estimated enrollment of 375 students throughout three (3) schools: Wausaukee Elementary servicing three (3) year old kindergarten through fifth (5th) grades, Wausaukee Middle School services sixth (6th) through eighth (8th) grades and Wausaukee High School services students ninth (9th) through twelfth (12th). Our District offers a year-round daycare onsite, “Little Learners Center”. Wausaukee is proud to have a strong partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) including the Northwoods Program offering welding, automotive, nursing and entrepreneur courses inhouse.
